Madonna Place works with approximately 1500-2000 individuals in Eastern CT each year (adults and children) to help them succeed. We provide services through three main programs: Family Support Center, Great Beginnings Home Visiting Program, and Fatherhood Initiative Program. All our programs use a strengthening families approach and build up a family's protective factors so they can build resilience, resources, supports and skills to provide safe and strong homes and lives for their children. Our programs are also early intervention and prevention based, so they intervene proactively before problems arise. Not only do we provide for basic needs (food, diapers, formula, clothing, emergency supports) but we also mentor parents, assess children's development and make referrals for needed services, provide parenting education classes, English as a Second Language classes, weekly home visits, informal counseling, fatherhood support, provide early childhood education programs and playgroups, and more. We rely upon the generous donations of funders and individual contributors to help make these programs possible for families in our region.
